Joseph A. "Joe" West, of 500 R. C. Edwards School Road, Central, died Thursday, July 6, 2006 at his residence.
He was born in Spartanburg County, a son of the late Horace P. and Maude Lanford West. He was a retired Sgt with the S.C. Highway Patrol and was a member of Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife Joann Lee West of the home; daughter Jean Armitage and her husband James of Clemson; brother Leo West of Spartanburg; and grandson Lee Armitage
.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday at Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church.
A visitation will be held at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Friday, July 7th from 6 to 8 PM Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church, 2102 Six Mile Highway, Central, SC 29630 or to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central-Clemson Commons is asssisting the family with arrangements.
