Josephine "Jo" Wiles Johnson, 77, wife of James Karl Johnson, Jr. of Easley, died January 7, 2007 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Anderson County and the daughter of the late William "Bill" C. and Emma Murdock Wiles.
She was a retired nurse and worked many years at Clemson Family Practice.
She graduated from Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing and was a faithful member of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church for over 40 years. She was an accomplished pianist who used this gift to serve in many capacities in the church. She was also active in the Circle and Presbyterian Women's Association.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 47 years are daughter Jane Ann Johnson of Atlanta, GA, son James Karl Johnson III and wife Carol of Madison, GA, and two grandsons Bill and Sam Johnson of Madison, GA. She was predeceased by her sister Jane Ellen Dreher.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am at Fort Hill Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fort Hill Presbyterian Church, 399 College Ave., Clemson, SC 29631.
