Josephine Stokes

Josephine Seymore Stokes, 85, formerly of Church Street, wife of the late William "Bill" Stokes, died Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Oakmont East Living Center.
Born in Knoxville, TN, the daughter of the late Jim and Mamie Seymour, Mrs. Stokes was a homemaker and was a member of Anchor of Hope Christian Center.
Surviving are two sons, Doug Stokes and wife, Judy, of Easley, and David Stokes and wife, Joyce Ann, of Pendleton; a daughter, Teresa Ann Holcombe of Salem; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Stokes was predeceased by two sons, Phil Stokes and William Stokes, Jr.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral-Powdersville Road. Burial will be in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Family members are at their respective homes.
