Josh Floyd Carter, 60, of 212 Lula Drive, passed away Friday May 7, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Carter was born in Greenville, SC, a son of the late Josh and Maudine Sullivan. He was the Chief Electrician with the Lewis and Clark Circus and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are his sons, Jason Carter, of Barnesville, Georgia ; and Jonathan Knight, of Easley ; a brother, Belton Vance and his wife, Brenda Vance, of Detroit, Michigan ; a sister-in-law, Betty Lou Deaton and her husband, Joseph, of Bear, Deleware and two grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Knight.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service, at the funeral home.
