Joshua Tyler Case

October 9, 1988 — January 14, 2022

With our deepest sorrow, our most beloved son, Joshua Tyler Case unexpectedly passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022. Tyler was born on October 9, 1988 to his father, Tim Case and his mother, Laurie Wilkinson Stone. Departing from the earth at a young age of 33, he is now rejoicing in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Those who knew Tyler knew he loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was an all-around athlete from baseball, football, karate, barefoot water skiing, duck hunting to riding horses, he loved it all. His biggest passion was riding dirt bikes. He always loved to compete in as many races as he could enter and he was always in it to win it! Tyler was very talented and often gave his medals and trophies to younger kids that looked up to him. He will be our #18 forever!

Tyler graduated from Wren High School in 2007. He attended Tri-county/Clemson Bridge, Greenville Technical College, and Southern Western University where he studied Business. He was proud to be a Sergeant in the Air Force Reserves where he served at Pope AFB in Fayetteville, NC and Moody AFB in Valdosta, GA for 13 years. He was an Aircrew Flight Equipment Technician working with A-10 and C-130 aircrafts. He made many meaningful relationships with his fellow brothers and sisters. So proud to be a Lineman, Tyler was employed by Pike Electric Corporation. He worked many hours and through many storms to help keep power lines safe and secure. He really loved his job and was looking
forward to many opportunities.

Tyler leaves so many loved ones behind and he will be missed everyday by his parents, Tim and Angie Case and David and Laurie Stone; Siblings, Tyler and Shelby Riddle, Corie and Justin Durham, Christian Stone, David and Ryen Stone, and Andi and Zane Linder; Grandparents, Eddie and Janet Wilkinson, Sharon and Larry Miller, Darrell and Georgia Case, Derrell and Becki Hunter and predeceased, Ruth Stone; Nieces and nephews, Elliotte and Finley Riddle, Emma Lynne Linder, and Ryder and Alston Stone;
Aunts and uncles, Kara Domen, Mary Rhymer, Greg and Melanie Wilkinson, Rene and Bill Wofford, Paula and Billy Barnhart, Mike and Susan Hunter, Steve and Teresa Stone, and Jim and Mary Stone; Cousins, Tymmi and Matt Clayton, Kaleb and Lauren Green, Haleigh Caulder, Ashley and Mike Wilson, Matthew, Jackson and Anna Wilkinson, Brittany Wofford, Amanda and Thomas Watters, Will, Hunter and Seth Barnhart, Matt, Lisa and Patrick Stone, Jennifer Hall, Ashley Oursler, Jason, Rebekah, and Justin Stone, Mati, Caselyn, and Mackley Clayton, Oaklyn and Magnolia Green, Caden and Cohen Caulder, Carter Williams, Madison and Ben Wofford, Kennadee Moore, and Kaden Wofford. Tyler was unique, authentic, and had a great sense of humor. He had so many wonderful friends and he cared for each one of them in True Tyler fashion. Mully, Remi, and June bug were his fur-babies that he adored. He has impacted all of our lives and his memory will live on through all of us. On the very same day of Tyler's tragic accident, January 8, 2022 he posted on social media these words…" Soon we'll be coming home. Be prepared!". He could not have predicted what would happen just hours later. I hope you will find comfort in knowing that Tyler was a Christian and he was prepared to be where he is now and that is in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Tyler would want you know that Jesus saves! The most important question is where your relationship is with Jesus. John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
