Joyce Boggs Brandon

Joyce Boggs Brandon, 86, of Clemson, wife of Craig A. Brandon, passed away May
20, 2023.

Born in Brevard, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Robertson and
Virgie Lee Morris Boggs. Joyce graduated from Stanley High School and Queens
College in NC. She assisted her husband in the business venture CARRE, Inc. She
taught English as a second language, enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, and
cooking; and was an amateur artist. Mrs. Brandon was a member of the Clemson
University Women’s Club, Red Hat Society, and attended Clemson Presbyterian
Church. She will be remembered for loving her family, especially her
grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her sweetheart of 71 years (married for 66), Craig Arnold
Brandon; children, Kimberly Brandon Haun (David) of Arlington, VA, Steven Craig
Brandon of Clemson, and Meg Brandon Newton (Robby) of Clemson;
grandchildren, Lauren Newton (Michael), Brandon Newton (Kara), Jason Haun,
Trevor Newton (Teagan), and Jonathan Haun; great-grandchildren, Naaman
Newton, Alice Brannon, and Baby Newton, due in June; brothers, Morris Boggs
and Rick Boggs; sisters, Frances Shelton, Connie Clippard, and Becky Barnes.

She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, John Boggs.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27,
2023 at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.

Area Retirement Community Foundation, P.O. Box 503, Clemson, SC 29633-0503.
