Mrs. Joyce Jean Satterfield Cochran, 84, wife of Cleadus Earl Cochran, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022.

Born in Duncan, SC, a daughter of the late Chadwick Beuford Satterfield and the late Lucile Lesley Satterfield, Mrs. Cochran was a graduate of Easley High School and later graduated from the Greenville General Hospital Nursing School where she earned her degree in nursing. She was of the Methodist faith.

Joyce was an avid reader and loved to sew, but her greatest love was for her family. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of fifty-six years, are her son, Glen A. Cochran (Tracy) of Liberty, her step-daughter, Patricia Cochran Cooksey (Richard) of Gaffney; her three brothers, Hobart Satterfield (Nina) of Easley, Larry Satterfield (Diana) of Duncan, and Nathaniel Satterfield (June) of Anderson; her two sisters, Gwendolyn Elrod (Ralph) of Easley, and Francine Wilder of Mt. Pleasant; her five grandchildren, Amanda Gillard (Nate), Kassie Cochran, Michael Cochran (Sarah), Katie Peake (Josh), and Kelly Bergeron (Denis); her eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cochran was predeceased by a brother, Bradley Satterfield. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2022 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
