Mrs. Joyce Turner Daves, 71, of Duke Street, Easley, loving wife of the late James Edward Daves, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at her son's residence in Easley.
Mrs. Daves was born in Augusta, GA on August 26, 1943 to the late William H. and Althea Binge Turner. She retired from Ryobi and in her free time enjoyed swinging on her front porch with her husband. She also loved taking road trips and sightseeing across the country with Mr. Daves, who passed away in January of this year.
Mrs. Daves is survived by two sons; William Burckhalter and his wife Patsy of Easley, and Kevin Burckhalter of Kentucky; a step-daughter; Michelle Bradley and her husband Scott of Tennessee; eight grandchildren; B.J., Lacey, Tyler, Nathan, and Americus Burckhalter and Audry, Austin, and Amanda Bradley; and one great-grandchild; Jaxon Higgins. Mrs. Daves is also survived by a sister-in-law; Patricia Turner; a nephew; Jeff Turner and his wife Kristina; and one great-niece; Elisha Turner, all of Pickens.
In addition to her loving husband of 35 years and her parents, Mrs. Daves was preceded in death by a brother; Leon Turner.
Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 14, 2015 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Funeral Home.
