Joyce Abercrombie Finley, 62, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at her residence. She was a native of Pickens County and was the daughter of the late Clyde and Octavia Jones Abercrombie. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Prayer Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son: Scott Finley of Liberty; daughters: Sonya Smith and husband Dale, Stephanie Chapman and husband Marty and Stacie Holcombe and husband Ricky of Liberty; brother Michael Abercrombie of Fountain Inn and sister: Patricia Tate of Mauldin; grandchildren: Misty O'Shea, Nichole Cox, Travis Smith, Kim Smith, Ashley Chapman, Haley Chapman and Tommy Holcombe; great grandchildren: Carlynn O'Shea and Jordan Cox. She was predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central with burial to follow in Mt. Zion cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home from 12:30 2pm prior to the service. The family is at the home of a daughter: Sonya Smith, 161 Creek View Drive, Liberty.
