Joyce M. Moorhead

Joyce Moorhead, widow of Davis T. Moorhead passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the Clemson Downs Healthcare Center.  She was 89.

Born in Washington DC, a daughter of the late Charles Weekly and the late Madalyn Weekly Keen, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who enjoyed art, interior design, her dog Bro, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Clemson United Methodist Church in Clemson, SC.

 She is survived by her daughters, Susan Zimmerman (Douglas) of Duck, NC, and Ann Marie Anderson (Richard) of Pendleton, SC; a son, David Gilman (Traci) of Lakeland FL; 4 granddaughters, Madalyn Sherry, Caroline Depot, Julia Anderson, and Elizabeth Anderson and one grandson, Jake Sherry. 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Davis T Moorhead, sister, Phyllis Weekly, and brother Thomas Weekly.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the CARC healthcare center and Hospice of Upstate SC for the kind and personal care that was shown to Joyce in her final years.

Memorial services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society in the city of your choice.
