Joyce Harris Thompson, 73, of 206 Watergate Drive and wife of Max Thompson for the past 53 years, passed away Wednesday March 7, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Rutherford County, NC, a daughter of the late Austin and Lillian Henderson Harris. She was a partner with her husband as owners and operators of Custom Built Homes and was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church in Greenville.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Kathy Thompson, of Rutherfordton, NC and Tracy Behan, of Cumming, Georgia; brothers, Sidney Harris, of Fountain Inn, SC and Carson Harris, of California; sisters, Peggy Kuykendall, of Columbus, NC, Reida Sudduth, of Reidville, SC, Carole Walker, of Rutherfordton, NC and Debbie Moore, of Ellenboro, NC; grandchildren, Kasey Fleming and Carlie Behan.
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Sunday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum at Robinson Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM Sunday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
