Joye Huff Garraux. 85, of Anderson, South Carolina, wife of the late William “Bill” Garraux, III., passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
Born on April 20, 1941, in Greenville County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late J.E. and Frances Rosemond Huff. Joye lived a life centered on faith, family, and devoted care for others. Joye worked in various administrative roles for the Greenville County School District, including serving as an attendance clerk. Her life was deeply rooted in her church and in the people she loved most. Joye attended Berea First Baptist Church and was very active in church life, family life, and caregiving. She volunteered with the children at church and was involved with the Westcliffe Garden Club. She enjoyed being with her family, and those closest to her knew that faith and family were the most important parts of her life. One of the most treasured parts of Joye’s life was the time she spent caring for the younger generations of her family. She kept her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories through her daily presence, love, and attention.
Joye is survived by her daughter, Scottie Brown (Mike); two grandchildren, Brittany Garraux Gibbs, and Christopher Brown (Cassie); four great-grandchildren, Emmy, Jonas, Maverick, and Knox; and a daughter-in-law, Darla Jones Garraux.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Gerry Garraux.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Berea First Baptist Church, 529 Farrs Bridge Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29611.
Joye will be remembered as a woman of active faith, generous care, and deep family love. Her life leaves a legacy of service, warmth, and steadfast commitment to those around her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
