Susie Juanita Moorehead Evett, 78, widow of Jacob Thomas Evett, of 209 Wilbanks Street, died April 28, 2009, at her residence. Born in Sugar Valley, GA, she was a daughter of the late Andy and Emma Mae Robinson Moorehead Evett.
Mrs. Evett was a former press operator at the Parker Plant in Greenville, and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two sons, Marvin Evett and Carlton Evett, both of Greenville; three daughters, Martha Wyatt of Pelzer, Patsy Pilgrim of Six Mile, and Mary Belt of Greenville; two brothers, B.F. Evett of Waterloo, SC and Donnie Evett of Ware Shoals; one sister, Naomi Chapman of Greenville; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by a son, Leroy Evett; five brothers, G. W. Moorehead, Johnny Evett, Ernest Moorehead, Roy Moorehead, and H. A. Evett; two sisters, Judy Mae Evett and Effie Moorehead; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, 1425 Powdersville Road, by the Rev. Mike Bowling and Chaplain Sandra Smith. Interment will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
The family is at the residence.
