Juanita Martin Gilstrap, 78, of Huntington Rd., wife of Willie Fant Gilstrap, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Emeritus Countryside.
Born May 11, 1936 in Franklin, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Edna Holcombe Martin. Mrs. Gilstrap was a homemaker who gave of herself unselfishly to family and friends. She was a hospice volunteer, prayer warrior and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband of sixty-two years, she is survived by her children, David Gilstrap (LeAnn), Jay Gilstrap (Kristi), James Gilstrap (Yari) and Janice Gonzalez (Phillip); fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Jo Harper and Frieda Gravely; and brother, Bud Martin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Entombment will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM Wednesday prior to service at the funeral home.
