Juanita Whitt Martin, 83, widow of the late William A. "Bill" Martin, passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 23, 2011 at her residence in Clemson, SC. She was affectionately known as "Giga" by all who loved her.

Born in Seneca, SC, she was the daughter of the late George and Roxie Stone Whitt. She formerly worked in the cafeteria of Morrison Elementary School in Clemson and was often seen helping her husband at Martin�??s Grocery in Clemson. Juanita was a member of the Red Hat Society and a very active member of East Clemson Baptist Church, where she participated in the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and the Young At Heart Group.

She is survived by three sons, Randy Martin of Clemson, SC; Tony Martin and wife Leila of Duluth, GA; Jimmy Martin and wife Kim of Lexington, SC; two daughters, Marlene Wheeler and husband Dean of LaGrange, GA; Cathy Pollard of Central, SC; a sister, Doris White of Lexington, SC; Grandchildren; Travis and Minde Wheeler of Summerville, SC; Luke and Alecia Clamp of Lexington, SC; Chad and Loren Martin of Marietta, GA; Amanda Martin of Clemson, SC; Tassy and Ralph Mannis of Central, SC; Lee and Lauren Pollard of Cleveland, TN; Eric Pollard of Marietta, GA; Sara Pollard of Clemson, SC; Will Martin of Chapel Hill, NC; Andrew Martin of Seattle, WA; Michael Martin of Lexington, SC; Great-Grandchildren; Caroline Wheeler; Ian and Alex Clamp; Devin Martin and Nina and Logan Mannis.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter Joyce Martin and nine brothers and sisters.

A Graveside service will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday at Memory Gardens with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 at East Clemson Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Gilliam officiating.

Visitation will be from 6pm-8pm, Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central-Clemson Commons.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the charity of one�??s choice.
