Mrs. Doris Juanita Johnson Southerland, 94, wife of the late Ralph Eugene Southerland, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, February 22, 2021.
Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Edwin Eugene Johnson and the late Nellie Irene Westbrook Johnson, Mrs. Southerland retired from Mayfair Mills-Glenwood Division and attended First Assembly of God, Easley. Juanita loved her family with all of her heart, but her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Surviving are her son, Terry Lee Southerland of Brevard, NC; her two daughters, Donna Marlene Tipton of Kingsport, TN, and Rebecca S. Reece (Timothy R.) of Easley; her sister, Willean Hudgens of Greenville; her three grandchildren, Timothy Eugene Reece (Shelly), Hope Wilson (Jessie), and Joy Evans; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Southerland was predeceased by a sister, Dora Jean Johnson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 25, 2021 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Only 50 persons will be allowed in the chapel for the service. Scroll to the video player below to view the service.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Family members are at their respective homes.
