Judith Hudgins

Judith “Judy” Hudgins, 82, of Powdersville, South Carolina, widow of the late Christopher L. Hudgins, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late William David Lamm and Elsie Rice, and was lovingly raised in the home of her maternal grandparents, William and Lillie Harris. Judy was the former owner of a ceramic shop and later became a tour bus driver. She had a passion for gardening and was known for her green thumb.

She is survived by her son, Larry Cole (Cynthia) of Rossville, Georgia; an “adopted” grandson, Omar Salgado of Belton; a brother, Billy Rice (Beth) of Lyman; three sisters, Linda Parr of Greer, Theresa Morton (Jason) of Greer, and Jeanette Kelley (John) of Belton.

She was predeceased by her husband, Christopher L. Hudgins; a son, Stanley “Stan” Cole; and a sister, Martha Atkison.

A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC. Pallbearers will be members of the Perfecto Salgado Garcia Family.

The family is at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
