Mrs. Judy Bazzone, loving wife of James Bazzone, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 3, 2017, at her home.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Juanita Rodgers.
Surviving, in addition to her loving husband, are sons, Douglas (Wendy) of Fremont, CA, Mark of Powdersville, SC, Aaron (Natalie) of Boulder Creek, CA; a brother, Robert Rodgers of Pittsburgh, PA; and grandchildren, Kyle Bazzone and Evan Bazzone.
Mrs. Bazzone was a member of Powdersville Gardening Club, Master Gardeners of the Foothills, and Upstate Daylily Society. She was also very artistic in nature, enjoyed painting and sewing, and created beautiful gardens in four states.
Judy was a diligent volunteer at the South Carolina Botanical Garden and volunteered at many public gardening projects. Judy also loved to travel.
Her kind heart led her to rescue 29 cats and kittens during a New Hampshire winter ending with adopting Benjamin, an emaciated kitten, who still survives after 15 years.
A Memorial service will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, July 10, 2017, at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.
