Judy Cantrell Godfrey, 71, of 504 East Second Avenue, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 23, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Coke Wesley and Vera McQueen Cantrell, Mrs. Godfrey retired as a registered nurse and was of the Protestant faith. She was a member of the SC Chapter of Lupus Foundation.
Surviving, are her husband, James Ray Godfrey, Jr., of the home; two sons, James Ray Godfrey, III , and wife, Sandra, George Mackey Godfrey, all of Easley; four grandchildren, Rev. James Ray Godfrey, IV, Amanda Gail Timmons, Elijah Godfrey and Abby Godfrey; and three great-grandchildren, Alyssa Mae Timmons, Wyatt Earl Timmons and James Ray Godfrey, V. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Godfrey was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Cantrell and by a sister, Ruby Reeves.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Cryptside services will be at 2:00 PM Friday in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 12:30 until 1:45 PM Friday at the mausoleum, prior to the service.
