Judy Smith Hall, 84, of Piedmont, South Carolina, wife of John P. Hall, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025.
Born in Greenville, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Lucile Pitman Smith. Judy was a smart, strong, and selfless woman who dedicated her life to helping others without expecting anything in return. She attended Holmes Bible College and Draughon’s Business College and taught kindergarten at Siloam. Judy also worked at Greenville General Hospital before serving as Director of Development for the ARP Foreign Mission Board for 33 years, where she did extensive fundraising and mission work.
Judy had a creative spirit and loved making crafts, photo albums, and scrapbooks. She was a traditional, “girly girl” who took great pride in her beauty and appearance and was deeply involved in her church, especially children’s church and preparing bulletins.
She is survived by her husband, John P. Hall; two sons, Christopher Lance Hall (Alicia) of Lexington, and John Gregg Hall (Diane) of Canton, NY; a brother, Harry “Smitty” Smith (Tara) of Pelzer; and three grandchildren, Lucy Hall, Zidane Hall, and Ian Hall.
