Julia Fendley Ligon

Julia "Judy" King Fendley Ligon, of Monroe, LA and formerly of Clemson, SC died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at her home.
Born in Clemson, she was preceeded in death by her parents, Frank J. and Minnie B. Defoor Fendley, brother Frank K. "Keith" Fendley, sisters, Carolyn F. Alexander and Allene F. Rowland.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, William E. "Bill" Ligon, Sr; son, William E. "Butch" Ligon, Jr.; daughter, Karen L. Tarver and husband Tommy; grandchildren, Jake and Garrett Ligon, Megan T. LeBoeuf and husband Ronnie, and Russell L. and Colin R.Tarver; great-grandson, Brody C. LeBoeuf; and sister, Linda F. Signorelli and husband I.A (Sig), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Judy, was not just a homemaker, she was a best friend, loving wife, mother and the pride of her life was being Nana to her loves, her grandchildren. And most recently a "great"-grandmother. Her favorite part of life was spending time with her family, pulling for Clemson in football and watching Nascar.
Graveside services will be held at 12 PM, Thursday at Old Stone Church Cemetery in Clemson, SC.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
