Ms. Julia Ann Spinks, 76, of Tucker, GA formerly of Atlanta, GA passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022.
Ms. Spinks was born June 27, 1945, in Atlanta, GA, the only child of the late James Rice Spinks and Ann Swearingen Rogers Spinks. She was raised in Southwest Atlanta and graduated from Southwest Atlanta High School. She attended Mount Ida College just outside Boston, MA where she majored in English.
She was the last survivor of her immediate family and was Episcopalian.
She is survived by her great-niece, Ashley V. Durham (Lucas) of Easley, SC; great-great nephews, Watson R. Durham, Henry B. Durham of Easley, SC, and many cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her half-sister Marian Rogers Howell of Thomson, GA, and nephew Edward Watson Clary Sr.
Graveside services will be held Friday, February 25 at 10:00 am, in the Spinks Family Plot at Greensboro City Cemetery, Memorial Dr., Greensboro, GA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) P.O. Box 49104 Baltimore, MD 21297.
