Julia C. Wise

November 18, 1926 — August 7, 2020

November 18, 1926 to August 7, 2020

Julia Wise passed from this life peacefully on August 7. Her husband, Colonel David Wise, USAF, VC, Ret'd., pre-deceased her. She is survived by nieces Julia Boswell, Joanna Boegner, Siobhan Cummins, Fiona Connor, Eleanor Sullivan, Christine Evans, Colette Ferran, Vivian Kaschner, Melinda Dudgeon; nephews Richard Ford, Larry Cummins, Duncan Crooks, Russell Miller, and Mark Wise; numerous great-nephews and great-nieces; brother-in-law Bob Garland and sister-in-law Judith Brindel. She is also survived by her beloved friends Elizabeth and Hamp Bruner who provided unflagging care and support to her in the final stages of her life.

Julia was born in Cheltenham, England to Irish parents Larry and Mary Cummins and, while proud of her heritage, she was a patriotic American. She and David spent their happy retirement years in Clemson Downs having previously lived in many parts of the U.S., as well as in England, Scotland and Ireland during David's military service. She volunteered at the Downs Nursing Home and she and David planted and upgraded the landscaping at the Downs. Julia loved nature and animals. Her cats and dogs were an important part of her life as were her family and friends who will miss her greatly.

We wish to thank her caregivers for the excellent, loving care they provided.

At Julia's request there will be no memorial service.

Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
