Julie Lynn Matthews passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Cottingham Hospice House on June 24th, 2023. She was born on February 11th, 1954, in Kenmore, NY to Halvor N. and Elna Madsen Lauridsen. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her unwavering love and devotion to her loved ones.

Julie's proudest accomplishment in life was her family. She loved them above all else and dedicated her life to their well-being. Her daughter, Stephanie Thomas (Dane) of Lehi, UT, and five grandchildren, Paxton, Stevey, Andee, Meg and Benny Thomas all of Lehi, UT survive her. Julie led a fulfilled life encompassed by the love she gave and received from those closest to her.

In addition to Stephanie, Dane and the grandchildren she adored so much, Julie is survived by her brother, Paul Lauridsen of Lake Station IN; three sisters, Elaine Moran (Ronald) of Dallas PA, Diane Merrick of Ephrata PA, and Jeanne Ward of Seneca SC.

She is predeceased by her husband, Steven Matthews who undoubtedly greeted Julie with open arms in heaven.

Julie Lynn Matthews will always be remembered as a kind-hearted woman who loved others deeply and unconditionally. Her selflessness towards everyone she met is an exemplary trait that we should all strive to emulate.

May she rest in peace knowing that she was cherished by many during both life and death.
