Julius Oscar Bolt, 77, of 116 Porter Road and devoted husband for 51 years of Carolyn Stamey Bolt died Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Townville, SC, he was a son of the late L. E. and Amy Lee Thrasher Bolt. Oscar was a graduate of Central High School and was a retired employee with the Pendleton Finishing Plant. He was a US Air Force veteran, a Baptist and an avid fisherman and camper.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Horace "Deno" Bolt (Lynne) of Central; brothers, Gary Bolt of Six Mile and Don Wayne Bolt (Mary Ann) of Westminster; sisters, Brenda Brown (Marshall) of Iva and Patsy Mitchell (Marc) of Margate, FL; and a special friend, Gary Durham of Pendleton.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Betty Bolt and Cathy Owen.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Saturday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 3 PM, Sunday at Refuge Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Campbell officiating.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
The family is at the home of Deno and Lynne Bolt, 3110 Old Greenville Highway (Highway 88), Central, SC.
