Julius Ray Edney

Julius Ray Edney, 74, of Pelzer, husband of the late Martha Elaine Edney, passed peacefully Monday, February 27, 2017 at Regency Hospital in Greenville.
Born in Walhalla, SC to the late Iona Swafford Thrasher and John Mack Edney.
Ray was a retired US Army Veteran and of the Church of God faith.
In addition to his parents and loving wife of 31 years, Martha, Ray was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Graham, and two brothers, Jim Edney and Bruce Edney.
He is survived by his son, Dennis J. Rector (Teresa) of Pelzer, SC; daughter, Pamela R. Edney (Roger) of Walhalla, SC; brothers, Jack Edney (Joyce) of West Union, SC and Gene Edney (Sue) of Salem, SC; grandchildren, Jacob G. Rector, Jaden R. Rector, and Crystal Daugherty (Brian); great-granddaughter, Hannah F. Daugherty.
No services will be held at this time.
Family is at the home of Pamela R. Edney.
