June Norris Newton, 73, of 301 Meredith Street, died Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Oconee Medical Center.
Born in Pickens County she was the daughter of the late Luther Murrell and Sarah Elliott Norris. She was in the last graduating class of Central High School and was a member of First Baptist Church, Central.
Surviving are her husband, Andrew Walton Newton of the home; four daughters, Teresa N. (Carson) Henry of Mountain Rest, Tonia N. (Craig) Walker of Lewisville, NC, Della N. (Maj. Phillip E.) Moore, and Andrea N. Spencer both of Central; two brothers, John Norris of Central and Rev. Bob Norris of Anderson; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM, Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home
The family is at the home.
