With deep sadness and profound respect, we announce the passing of Juvenal Mendoza-Cedillo, 65, of Easley, South Carolina, who departed to be with God on April 14, 2026.
Born on November 16, 1960, in Guanajuato, Mexico, a son of Pedro Mendoza and Susana Cedillo.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend—an exceptional individual. His kindness and love extended beyond his immediate family, embracing all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He worked tirelessly throughout his life to provide the very best for his family, holding various jobs along the way; his final job was at Fiesta Grill in Liberty. He was a man with a big heart, and joy was always reflected on his face. He enjoyed spending entire days listening to music, tending to his garden, spending time feeding and caring for his chickens, and creating new things with his own hands, inspired by YouTube tutorials.
However, it was in his personal life that his heart truly shone. For Juvenal, his Catholic faith and his family were the most important things in his life—especially his beloved grandchildren, whom he loved to spoil by taking them out for ice cream or to the park, creating memories that will never be forgotten. He loved having his grandchildren visit him and watching them run all over his home.
May God hold him in His merciful glory, and may he rest in peace.
Juvenal is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Maria Luisa Mendoza; his three sons, José Juan (Kenia), Juvenal (Karen), and Manuel (Reyna) Mendoza; his two daughters, Erica Guadalupe (Javier) and Mayra (Cesar) Mendoza; his 13 grandchildren; his 8 brothers, Rafael, Mayo, Moy, Ricardo, Pedro, Miguel, Chavelo, and Nacho Mendoza; his 2 sisters, Maria and Guadalupe Mendoza.
