Karen J. Conners, 78, of Piedmont, wife of Thomas “Tom” C. Perry, passed away on November 1, 2026. Born on March 3, 1948, in Syracuse, NY, she was a daughter of the late Francis W. Conners and the late Jean King Conners. She was of non-denominational faith.
Karen was a devoted associate at Champion Aerospace until her retirement.
Karen will be remembered as a tender-hearted woman whose interests reflected both spirit and warmth. She loved animals and enjoyed watching National Geographic, finding joy in the beauty and wonder of the world around her. She also enjoyed watching John Wayne westerns, going to craft shows, and had a fondness for ’57 Chevys that spoke to her appreciation for timeless classics.
Karen’s passions were distinctive and deeply her own. She was a gun collector and a member of the Greenville Gun Club. Those who knew her will remember a woman of genuine feeling, whose tender heart shaped the way she moved through life and the way she was loved by others.
In addition to her husband of 31 years, she is survived by sister, Barbara Conners; brothers, David Conners (Heather) and Mike Conners (Phyllis) and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
As family and friends remember Karen Jean Conners, they will hold close the memory of her many interests, her love for animals, and the quiet strength and individuality that defined her life. She leaves behind a remembrance marked by affection, character, and the simple things that brought her happiness.
