Karen Marie Ann Taylor, 63, of Six Mile, South Carolina, wife of over 40 years to Terry Lee Taylor, passed away peacefully surrounded by family.
Born in Orange County, California, she was a daughter of the late Donald Edward and Jean Carol Byrne. Karen was raised in the Catholic faith and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Westminster, California.
Karen began her career by attending nursing trade school, but her true passion led her down a different path—owning and operating several restaurants, including Charlie T’s Wings and Suds. Known for her generosity and love of cooking, Karen took great joy in feeding others and was happiest in the kitchen.
A woman of grace and strength, Karen was beautiful, feminine, and deeply connected to nature. She enjoyed the peacefulness of her surroundings, spending time outdoors, watching wildlife, and going deer hunting. She had a special love for animals, especially dogs.
Karen was a devoted wife, mother, and sister. She is survived by her husband, Terry Lee Taylor; her son, Michael Taylor; two brothers, Mark Byrne (Cheryl) and Craig Byrne (Dannie); a sister, Donna Byrne-Greenfield (Howard); two sisters-in-law, Sandy Taylor Jordan (Drake) and Marsha Seymore (Donald); and a brother-in-law, Butch Taylor (Gloria).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Matthew Taylor.
