Katharine Pininia Martin, 87, of Easley, died Thursday, February 9, 2006 at the Hospice House of Anderson.
Born in Spartanburg, IN, she was a daughter of the late William Albert and Garcie May Hernley. She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Greenville.
Surviving are a son, Ken Martin and wife Ann of Salisbury, NC; a daughter, Susan Yenson and husband Tom of Greenville; a brother, Leonard Hernley of Dunkirk, IN; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Kaitlin Yenson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank Elton Martin; a son, Lewis Ray Martin; two brothers, Orla Kenneth Hernley, Orville Robert Hernley; and two sisters, Emma Opal Crouse, and Olivia Mae Powell.
A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Greenville with Rev. Jim Daughtry officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate; 1835 Rogers Road; Anderson, SC 29621.
