Kathleen Summerall Cater, 90, of 105 Bannister Street, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at McCall Hospice House.

Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Miles Franklin "Leo" and Ethel Dickard Summerall, Mrs. Cater retired from Brunswick Mill in Pickens and later worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of seventy years, Rev. John Garnice Cater of the home; a son, Chubby Cater (Gail) of Easley; a daughter, Sharon Cater of Easley; and two grandsons, Enoch Pugh and Nathan Pugh. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cater was predeceased by four brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 1:45 PM Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

The family is at the residence.
