Kathleen Swartz Thompson

Kathleen Swartz Thompson, aged 83, wife of Carl Thompson Sr., passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

Born in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania, Kathleen was the daughter of the late James M. Swartz and Nancy Allison Morris Swartz. She dedicated her life to education and was a compassionate foster parent, providing care to children in need. Kathleen was also a valued member of Clemson United Methodist Church.

Kathleen is survived by her beloved husband Carl, her brother Barry Ackinclose, her sons Carl Thompson Jr. (Martha) of Ardmore, PA, James "Jim" Thompson (Iris) of Pendleton, SC, and Eric Thompson (Cecilia) of Central, SC, her daughter Tricia Thompson Lisinski (Chris) of Johns Island, SC; and her cherished grandchildren, Garrett Thompson, Mesfin Thompson, Eric Miguel Thompson-Vazquez, Isabela Barber (Rashun), Sebastian Thompson-Vazquez, Carolina Thompson-Vazquez, Damian Lisinski, and Dante Lisinski, along with her great-grandchild, Lola Barber.

A memorial service will be held at Clemson United Methodist Church at a 2 pm Saturday, November 21.
