Kathryn Hamilton Cartee, 78, of Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center and formerly of Andrew Avenue, wife of the late Walker M. Cartee, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Mack and Dessie McDonald Hamilton, Mrs. Cartee was a retired cosmetologist and a homemaker and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Marvin Cartee (Ginny) of Laurens and Tim Cartee (Vickie) of Easley; three grandchildren, Kevin Cartee (Beth) and Megan Cartee, all of Laurens and Bryan Cartee (Brandi) of Easley; two great-grandchildren, Kathryn Rollin and Walker Troupe; and a sister, Helen Looper of Greenville. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cartee was predeceased by four brothers, Carl Hamilton, Robert Hamilton, Curtis Hamilton and Mack Hamilton, Jr.
Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Thursday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Dr. David Gallamore officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
