Kathryn "Kappy" Stewart Jordan

 

Kathryn “Kappy” Stewart Jordan, 87, wife of Whitey Jordan, passed away January 10, 2024.

Born in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth DuBose Stewart. Kappy was a longtime, active member of First Baptist Church of Clemson, where she previously served as a deacon and taught ESL classes. She enjoyed reading, quilting, traveling and was the former President of the Clemson Women’s Club. Kappy had a love for people and enjoyed socializing with others at various sporting events she and her husband attended. Her greatest joy was her family and she loved her role being a coach’s wife.

She is survived by beloved husband, Whitey Jordan; daughters, Kim Jordan of Seneca, Karol Williams (Johnny) of Seneca, and Jo Kyle Russ (Steve) of Mountain Rest; son, Stewart Jordan (Joy) of Madison, AL. Mrs. Jordan was also survived by eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Kappy was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Harriett Stewart.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Clemson, 397 College Avenue, Clemson.

A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 1150 Hungry Neck Blvd., Suite C-183, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
