Kathryn Forbis Swiney, 80, of Staunton Bridge Rd., wife of Robert Lee Swiney, Jr., passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 at her home.
Born December 31, 1932 in High Point, NC, she was a daughter of the late Otis Lee and Lena Mazelle Jearls Forbis. Mrs. Swiney attended Woodside Church of God and was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. Her family meant everything to her.
In addition to her husband of sixty one years, she is survived by her children, Sherry Cain, Mike Swiney and Ron Swinney; grandchildren, Brannigan Bellamy and Rick Cain; great-grandchildren, Arianna, Savannah, Jayden and Rae.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Iris Yvonne Swiney; brother, Richard Forbis; and sister, Ellen Cooper.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Woodside Church of God with Rev. Wallace Purvis officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
