Kathy D. Rice, 51, of 202 Hood Road, went to be with the Lord Friday September 12, 2008 at McCall Hospice House.

Kathy was born in Greenville, a daughter of Josephine Eskew Smith Gilreath, of Greenville and the late Broadus "Bobby" Smith.
She graduated from Parker High School and earned an Associate's Degree in Accounting from Greenville Tech. She was a marketing coordinator with Day and Zimmermann International in Greenville and a member of Siloam Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, James E. Rice, of the home ; two sons, Matthew J. Rice (Brittany), of Mt. Pleasant and Andrew E. Rice, of the home ; a daughter, Virginia Elrod (Jason), of Pickens ; brothers, Rudy Smith, of Greenville and Donnie Smith, of Easley ; sisters, Judy Smith, of Pahokee, Florida and Sandy Thee, of Greer ; her step-father, Robert Gilreath, of Greenville.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM Noon Monday at Siloam Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Ron Lynch and Mr. Ronnie Eskew, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The escort of honor for the service will be members of the American Cancer Society, the Cancer Society of Greenville County, Cancer Association of Anderson, the Susan G. Komen - Upstate Affiliate and the Uplift Breast Cancer Support Group.

The family is at the home and will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.
