Katy Brooke Jones, affectionately known as "Sassy", passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024.
Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, the daughter of Larry and Glenda Crane Strickland. She was a beloved Labor and Delivery Nurse at AnMed, a talented Nail Technician, and a dedicated Production Supervisor at NRTC Automotive. Katy's passion for caring for others extended into the hearts of all who knew her. Katy pursued her education with passion, earning a bachelor’s degree in science from Greenville Technical College. She was a shining example of dedication and compassion in all aspects of her life. Katy's vibrant personality touched the lives of many. A loving daughter and self-proclaimed mama's girl, she radiated warmth and kindness wherever she went. Her unwavering faith in Jesus shone through in her interactions with others, as she shared her beliefs with grace and humility. Outside of her professional endeavors, Katy found joy in simple pleasures. An avid runner, she started each day with a 6-mile run, embracing the serenity of the open road. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore Dillon, Georgia, and Florida, but it was her mission trips to Israel that truly captured her heart. Katy was baptized in the Jordan River and found solace in her spiritual journey at 5 Point Church in Easley and High Praises Church in Anderson. Katy leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. While we mourn the loss of such a beautiful soul, we take comfort in the memories she created and the lives she touched along the way.
