Kay Garrett Dixon, 56, of 159 Cove Nook, died Monday, June 22, 2009 at her home.

Born in Richmond, VA, she was a daughter of Barbara Hall Garrett of Greensboro, NC and the late H. A. "Red" Garrett. Mrs. Dixon was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Central, SC, an active leader with the Lydia Prayer Fellowship, and highly involved in the Stephen's Ministry. She was a talented artist and quilter.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Vick B. Dixon; two daughters, Kathryn Grace Gritter and husband David of Canton, OH, Ashton Hope Dixon of Clemson, SC; a brother, H.A. "Rusty" Garrett, Jr. of Jamestown, NC; and a sister, Karen McKinnon of Johnson City, TN.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Thursday at First Wesleyan Church, Central, SC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Wesleyan Church Stephen's Ministry; 807 Wesleyan Drive; Central, SC 29630.
