Kelli Cherie Merritt Cooper, 47, wife of David Wayne Cooper, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at her home.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of Brenda Joyce Seigle Merritt and the late Terry Michael Merritt. Kelli was a 1992 graduate of James F. Byrnes High School in Duncan, SC and she worked for fourteen years as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. She enjoyed fishing, singing, framing, traveling, spending time outdoors, and time with her family and friends. She was a member of Set Free Church in Easley.
Surviving, in addition to her husband and mother are a son, Jensen Stewart of Greenville; a daughter, Alexis Stewart of Clemson; a brother, Greg Shepherd (Marie) of Greenville; sisters, Melissa Barnette (Jeremy) of Taylors, Donna Rankin of Spartanburg, Debbie Stillwell of Anderson, and Denise Hippensteel of Greenville; a grandson, Ayden Stewart; and her beloved dogs, Sadie and Diesel.
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a brother, Michael Merritt.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Set Free Church in Easley.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. Tuesday evening at the church, prior to the service.
