Mr. Kenneth Monroe Cobb, 74, of 109 West Cedar Rock St., husband of Mildred Taylor Cobb, passed away Friday, September 16, 2011 at Rainey Hospice House.

Born May 8, 1937 in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Elzie and Minnie Lee James Cobb. Mr. Cobb was a member of East Pickens Baptist Church and had more recently attended Hunts Memorial Baptist Church. He had a great love of people in both churches. He was a member of Easley Senior Center and gardening was his delight. Mr. Cobb attended Dacusville High School and received his GED after entering the Navy. While in the Navy he served four years on the USS Hyssayampi. He retired from Mayfair (Glenwood) Mills after 40 years of service

In addition to his wife of fourteen years, he is survived by his son, Randy Cobb of Gastonia, NC; daughter, Michelle Cobb of Pickens; sisters, Carolyn Huff, Barbara Rozelle and Nancy Shiver; grandsons, Brandon Cobb, Jesse Cobb, Trevor Cobb, Dakota Malsch, and Blake Chappell; and a great-granddaughter, Kayli Cobb.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, James Cobb and Roger Cobb; and a sister, Betty Jo Cobb.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday September 20, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Robinson Funeral-Downtown.

The family is at 303 Garvin St., Pickens, SC 29671.
