Kenneth Ray Hughes, 57, of Zion School Road, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, September 21, 2021.
Born in Melbourne, FL, he was a son of the late Winford Danard Hughes and Roxie Lee Vanzant Hughes.
Ken was retired from The Kennedy Space Center in Florida. He was currently employed as a Product Engineer with Electrolux in Anderson. Ken was a devoted husband and loving father. He was an active member of New Spring Church in Powdersville. Ken loved cheering on his Florida Gators and working on several projects, with his wife and children, around his home. He always put his family first, and he was a true example of what a family man should be. His heart was pure and full of joy. He will be missed dearly by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Surviving is his wife of 25 years, Lory Landers Hughes; his children, Dalton Hughes of Columbia, Ryley Hughes and Dylan Hughes both of Easley; a grandson, Slater Pace; brothers, Donnie Hughes (Donna) of Melbourne, FL, Ronnie Hughes (Mona) of Marion, VA, and Rick Hughes (Candy) of Marion, VA; and a sister, Kimberly Hughes of Palm Bay, FL.
A service , in Florida, to celebrate Ken's life will be Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Kingery Pavilion, 3575 Hield Road, West Melbourne, FL 32904.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to a GoFundMe to assist with the financial burden of this unforeseen situation.
