Kenneth "Kenny" M. Raines

Kenneth "Kenny" Melvin Raines, 86, husband of the late Mattie Reece Raines, of Easley, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025.

Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Marcus and Ella Mae Roberts Raines.

Kenny loved spending time outside, fishing and working in his yard. He was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church and proudly served with the United States Army.

Kenny is survived by a son, Tim Raines (Diane) of Easley; sisters, Helen Harris and Geraldine Bryant (Junior); a sister-in-law, Lucille Elrod; and 11 grandchildren.

In addition to his loving wife, he was preceded in death by brothers, Franklin Raines, Robert Raines, and David Raines; sisters, Bertie Mae Smith and Ruby Ramey; and his stepmother, Fannie Raines.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
