Kenneth Robert "Ken" Parnell

Kenneth Robert "Ken" Parnell, 90, husband of Lois Smith Parnell, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at his home, surrounded by family.
Born in Greenville, a son of the late Robert Ransom Parnell and the late Lois Parnell Merritt, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who enjoyed golfing, fishing, and Clemson Sports. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force and he was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving, in addition to his loving wife, are a son, Gary Robert Parnell of Piedmont; a daughter, Renee Parnell Brown of Piedmont; a brother, Richard Merritt of Anderson; a sister, Anne Williams (Roger) of Anderson; grandchildren, Gary Lee Parnell, Phillip Ransom Brown, Lindsey Parnell, and Nathan Parnell; and great grandchildren, Jackson Parnell and Maddie Grace Parnell.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 7, 2021 in Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC 29673.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choosing.
