Kenneth Van Jennings, 78, of Mt. Forrest Circle, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Greenwood County, the son of the late Albert Wayne and Ethel Elizabeth Canfield Jennings, Mr. Jennings retired from the Recycling Dept. of Pickens County and attended Jones Avenue Baptist Church where he belonged to the Auditorium Sunday School Class. He was a veteran of the US Army.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Rebecca Caldwell Jennings of the home; a son, Greg Jennings of Gettysburg, PA; two step-sons, Rodney Vinson of Pickens and Barney Keanum, Jr., of the home; a step-daughter, Margaret Dixon of Greenville; five step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jennings was predeceased by his first wife, Sandra Hagar Jennings.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Greenwood at 2:00 PM Wednesday.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Jones Avenue Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1688, Easley, SC 29641.
The family is at the residence.
