Kerry Hampton Traynum

Kerry Hampton Traynum, 75, of Gaffney, husband to the late Patricia O’Neal Traynum, passed away February 9, 2024.

Born in Pendleton, he was the son of the late Rufus and Nancy Link Traynum. Kerry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He attended Tri-County Technical College, then started a career in welding and construction quality control. Mr. Traynum enjoyed grilling and cooking, Clemson athletics, driving throughout the United States, and his work, but most of all he loved his time spent with family and friends.

Kerry is survived by his children, Kerry Link Traynum and wife, Vickie of Charlotte, NC and Rhett Adams and husband Melton of Simpsonville, SC; brother, Tony Traynum of Anderson; sister, Beth Miller and husband, Herman of Pendleton; grandchildren, Owen Traynum, Jack Adams, Sam Adams, and Trace Adams.

He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia O’Neal Traynum; parents, Rufus and Nancy Link Traynum; brother, George Traynum.

A gathering to celebrate Kerry’s life will be held Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
