Kimberly Cannon Gibson
Easley

Mrs. Kimberly Cannon Gibson, 51, wife of Dale Gibson, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Baptist Easley Hospital.

Born in Marion, VA, she was the daughter of Jack and Aileen Cannon. Mrs. Gibson was formerly employed with National Alliance and was of the Baptist faith.

Kim worked as a VIP Hostess for the 1982 World's Fair in Knoxville, TN. In that time she met her beloved husband Dale. Later she earned her bachelors degree in Psychology at Clemson in 1986, but she never matched her husband's love for Clemson until Coach Dabo Swinney got her "all in".

Kim was full of life and laughter that affected everyone she met. Kim never met a stranger. Her love of musicals and the arts led her to be a Peace Keeper at the Peace Center for the Performing Arts for over ten years. Her love of all animals led her to volunteer with the Greenville Humane Society.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of twenty-nine years, are a son, Kevin Gibson; a daughter, Brittany Lance (Andrew); and one brother, B.J. Cannon. Kim was predeceased by a brother Mark Cannon, and her beloved Golden Retriever, Opie.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Stancil officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service, at the church.
