Kitty Oates McAlister, 77, of Smith Grove Road, passed away Monday November 30, 2015 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Easley on April 5, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Lily Southerland Oates.
Surviving are her children, Bruce McAlister of Greenville, Mitch McAlister of Easley, Cheryl Pryor of Belton, and Allen McAlister of Easley; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Soubeyroux of Charleston and Barbara Smith (Johnny) of Liberty; a brother, Edward Oates of Troutman, NC; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Oates.
The family would like to express their gratitude for her niece, Julie Smith, who was always there for her Aunt Kitty.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday December 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
