Earl Meece, 60, of Easley, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, June 25, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Meece was born in Rosman, NC, the son of the late Lonnie Earl and Fannie Clarolynda Raines Meece. He retired from Michelin after 22 years and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. He was a member of the Encouragers Bible Fellowship Class, The Wednesday Morning Men's Prayer Group and the American Blind Golf Association.
Surviving are his wife, Diane Granger Meece of the home; three daughters, Angie (Brian) Garvin and Earlene (Heath) Cassell both of Easley and Heather (Tim) Eaton of Pelzer; two step-children, Amanda and Chris Cobb both of Easley; four sisters, Dovie Whitmire, Ann Harvey, Connie Patterson and Ellen Gilstrap; 10 grandchildren, Hannah, Parker, Dylan, Devin, Riley, Bryson, Megan, Jay, Andrew and Diana.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Meece was predeceased by a sister, Dalice Sheppard.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday June 28, 2011, at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
