Lloyd Wilton Roper, 77, of 597 Issaqueena Trail, died at his home.

Born in Central, he was a son of the late John Samuel and Margaret Francis "Maggie" Price Roper.  Wilton was a retired employee of LaFrance Industries and a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church.  He was a generous man spending much of his time helping others.

Surviving are his daughter, Remona Roper of Easley; grandson, Toby John "T.J." Roper of Altus, OK; sisters, Dot Traynum of Pendleton, Rachel Morrison and Reba Smith both of Central.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, John Samuel "Junior" Roper, Ray Roper, Marion Roper and Adger Roper; sister, Zelma Roscoe; half-brother, Paul Roper; and half-sisters, Jessie Martin, Bernice Kelly and Francis Sears.

Funeral services will be 3:30 PM, Sunday at Trinity Wesleyan Church with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:15 PM, Sunday prior to the service at the church.

The family is at the home of his sister Reba Smith, 599 Issaqueena Trail, Central, SC.
